Declined & Expired Booking Requests
If a host declines a booking request, allows a booking request to expire or does not reply to a guest message within 24 hours, this will impact your host status and payment policy, depending on your current host status.
If a guest does not take action on a booking request and the booking request subsequently expires, there is no effect on your current host status.
For hosts the below will apply:
New Hosts
- If you decline a booking request or a booking request is left to expire, your completed bookings count is reset to 0. This means it will take longer to be upgraded to an Active Host or a Priority Host.
- Your listing/s will be suspended if you reach 3 Declined or Expired Booking Requests, or, No Response to 3 Enquiries within a 12 month period.
Active Hosts
- If you decline a booking request or a booking request is left to expire, your Completed Bookings count is reset to 0. This means it will take longer to be upgraded to a Priority Host.
- Your Host Status will be downgraded to New Host Status if you reach 3 Declined or Expired Booking Requests, or, No Response to 3 Enquiries within a 12 month period.
Priority Hosts

- You will loose your no host fee status and will be charged a host fee of 3.5% + VAT as an Active Host
