Find the right holiday home
When searching for a place, make sure to include your dates and number of guests to get the most accurate pricing. Read descriptions, house rules, and amenities carefulty prioir to booking a listing. Guests who intend to book or communicate with a host must first create an account by signing up the holiday-malta.com platform and must validate an email address and mobile number
When you book a place on holiday-malta.com, you're arranging to stay in someone's home. Each listing is managed by the host, who sets their rates and minimum stay requirements. Hosts have their own unique hospitality styles, including how they prefer to interact with guests. Some hosts require pre-approval for booking requests, while others allow instant bookings without approval. Occasionally, hosts may make mistakes, such as setting incorrect minimum stay requirements during peak seasons, or having incorrect availability, if this happens they will inform you prior to pre-approving your request by contacting you via the holiday-malta.com's messaging system.
Booking types
You can book on holiday-malta in two ways: Instant Book or Request to Book.
If a property offers Instant Book, you'll see a button on the listing labeled "Instant Book." As the name implies, you can confirm your booking at these listings immediately. To book a listing, ensure you're logged into your holiday-malta.com account. Click on "Instant Book" and fill in the required information. Once completed, you'll receive a booking confirmation via email, which will also be visible in your account under "Your Stays."
When a property is on request to book, you’ll see a button on their listing that labeled "Request to Book". As the name implies, you will need to submit a booking request first and wait for host approval prior to confirming your booking.
To submit a booking request, complete the neccessary data and wait for the host to pre-accept your booking request. Hosts have a maximum of 24 hours to accept your booking request, once they do, you will receive a notification in your account with the the steps to complete/finalise your booking within 24 hours. If 24 hours hours lapse your booking request will expire and you will need to resubmit a new booking request if the property is still available on your dates.
If your booking request has been pre-accepted, click on the "Book Now" button in the notification you recieve or within your account and fill in the required information. Once completed, you'll receive a booking confirmation via email, which will also be visible in your account under "Your Stays."
Pre-approvals and special offers
If you have any questions you can always contact the host prior to booking, you’ll see a button on their listing that says Contact Host. The host may respond to your message by inviting you to make a booking with either a pre-approval or Special Offer. A pre-approval is an invitation to complete the booking for the dates and number of guests you noted in your message. A Special Offer gives the host the opportunity to provide special pricing, dates, and other reservation details before you book. Guests have a maximum of 24 hours to convert a pre-approval or a special offer into a confirmed booking.
Payment methods
All bookings on holiday-malta.com must be processed online. When you are booking well in advance, we offer guests the Easy Pay method with a 50% deposit payment on booking and 50% balance payment due closer to your check in date. Some hosts may also offer a non refundable rate which is a discounted rate over their standard rate and standard cancellation policy, or other selected discounts, such as weekly discounts. You will see this detail in the booking pod detail over the Instant Book or Request to Book button.
Complete your profile before you book
Completing your profile is an important part of the booking process, since holiday-malta.com is a community of guests and host that rely on trust. Your profile should include all the neccessary details and should be completed before you book a property or an activity on holiday-malta.com.
Once you have checked in
When you book a place on holiday-malta.com, you’re making arrangements to stay in someone’s home. Each host has their own house rules which are displayed on each listing which guests are expected to follow and form an integral part of your booking.
Unless otherwise specified, on departure guests are expected to remove all their personal items including all food, empty fridges/freezers, empty all bins, empty dishwashers, flush toilets, wash up and put away all used kitchen equipment, return all items to their original positions, wipe surfaces, sweep floors and dispose of all household rubbish at the designated disposal point. On your departure, the property you have booked should be left as clean as you found it at the time of your arrival.
Holiday homes are generally found in residential areas, so guests should behave in the same way as they wish their neighbours at home to behave.
