Village Neighborhood
Valletta is the capital city of Malta, a world heritage city built by the famous Knights of St John. The city has its own unique charm for Malta and has a very interesting, rich historic background for one to appreciate a host of architectural marvels. Today it still stands as Malta's capital city and is definitely a main attraction for travellers to Malta. The city is full of attractive shops, cafes, restaurants, wine bars, interesting museums , theatres, conference centers and art galleries including the now Maltese Grand Masters Palace and Parliament. Accommodation in Valletta itself is quite limited. Getting around from Valletta is easy and you can hop on to a local bus to practically anywhere on the island for beaches other historic sites and places of interest. Sliema and St julians are just about 20 minutes away by bus. Weather and climate conditions are excellent in malta and relativelly mild with the best periods being from March up to October, however in recent years malta has had some fantastic winter sun from November to February.
