Village Neighborhood
The town centre boasts of its splendid hotels, fine restaurants and traditional cute shops. It is home to a majestic baroque church (built in late 19th century). The area is an excellent place to stay for holidays in Malta. Since It is located in the north of Malta, one can easily go to Gozo or Comino for a day. Whilst towards the other side- southward, one can visit St Julians, Sliema for further nightlife and entertainment. Crossing over from Mellieha to Gozo is easy and would just require a 5 to 10 minute drive to the Gozo Channel car ferry terminal. From Mellieha to the other side of the island for example to St Julians would take approx 15 to 20 minutes drive. So the location is ideal to explore the islands of Malta whilst on holiday.
