(Q1) How do I book a holiday property through your website?
You may use the Quick Search Pod for online quotations by inserting the number of persons, check in and check out dates you require. Quick access to the search pod is found on the right hand side of your desktop screen by clicking on the tab Search by Availability shown below.
Once you have selected a property, you may initiate a Booking Request online by clicking on the Book Now button, and if this is accepted by the Reservations Manager/Holiday Property Owner you will receive an email with instructions on how to proceed with the booking which will include payment instructions. We suggest you book as early as possible to secure availability especially in the peak months of summer which is a period in very High Demand and where availability changes constantly. All Bookings are subject to confirmation/acceptance by the Reservations Manager/Holiday roperty Owner.
Alternatively you can reserve your holiday accommodation in Malta or Gozo by browsing the full list of properties which you can access by using the quick links on the home page (shown below) and sending us a booking enquiry for a quotation on your preferred property. This is especially useful if your travel dates are flexible by a few days and/or you prefer to split payments for your booking.
(Q2) Do you accept Pay Pal ?
Unfortunately we do not support Pay Pal for the time being.
(Q3) Do you accept payment by American Express Cards ?
Unfortunately we do not accept payments by American Express cards. Kindly send us a message using the "contact us" form found at the bottom of each property page you are interested in booking and a member of staff will guide you with alternative payment options.
(Q4) Is your payment gateway secure to effect online bookings ?
Yes. We use the latest technology and standards as per international guidelines provided by Visa and Mastercard.
(Q5) Do you accept payment by bank transfer ?
Yes, kindly send us a message using the "contact us" form found at the bottom of each property page and let us know that you would like to book the property for a particular period, detailing check in and check out dates, number of adults, children and infants in your party and inform us that you wish to book the property and settle payment by bank transfer. A member of staff will thereafter provide you with our bank details and guidelines in order to effect payment and secure your booking.
(Q6) Can I pay a deposit to secure my booking and pay the rest in cash upon arrival to the property ?
No. We do not handle cash. All payments for bookings must be settled before arrival. However, if you are booking well in advance of your arrival, we will accept a deposit payment of 50% of the total price of your booking with the balance due 30 days prior to your arrival. A member of staff will guide you on this flexible payment option if you request this.
(Q7) Do you offer any discounts ?
In general all prices displayed online include all discounted prices, promotions and last minute offers, however when you are booking 6 months in advance of your arrival to Malta or Gozo or if you intend to book for more than 30 days we may be in a position to offer you a discount. In these instances use the "contact us" form found at the bottom of each property page and let us know that you would like to book the property for a particular period, detailing the number of adults, children and infants in your party.
(Q8) Can I rent a property for one day or for one night ?
Unfortunately none of the properties on holiday-malta.com allow for 1 day/night rentals, all have a minimum booking restriction of between 2 & 7 nights, which vary by property type and the relative season.
(Q9) Can I book a property to host guests and throw a party or reception ?
Unfortunately none of the properties on holiday-malta.com allow for parties or wedding receptions. All properties are rented purely for accommodation purposes.
(Q10) How do i know if a property is pet friendly ?
We are working hard to display this information on every property, however in the meantime ask our customer support agents who will be able to check if the property you intend to rent will accept pets if this is not already detailed on the relative property advert. We would need to know the breed and number of pets you wish to bring with you and acceptance is highly dependant on each individual property owner. We love animals but not all owners are comfortable having pets in their property/ies, so in many occassions we need to check and discuss every individual request with the property owner.
(Q11) I intend to or have booked a property, how do i know the check in and check out time ?
Check in and check out times are displayed in the property advert/page and in your booking voucher. Some properties may impose a late check in fee if your arrival time is after a specific time, so check the relative page for information or ask our customer support team for assistance.
(Q12) What are pay per use services ?
Some properties impose fees on certain services, for example air conidtioner use, internet use, etc. These are displayed in the property advert/page and are payable directly at the property at or after check in, so check the relative page for information or ask our customer support team for assistance.
(Q13) Do you also offer car rental services in Malta and how do I collect the car ?
Yes, together with our partners we provide a wide range of car rentals through specialised and leading car rental suppliers such as Goldcar, Hertz, Avis, Alamo, Thrifty, Budget and other leading car rental brands. Our objective is to offer YOU - our client a wide array of economical cars, family cars and sedans, which include cabriolets, utility vehicles, station wagons and mini-vans. (Q14) Do you also offer car rental services in Gozo and how do I collect the car ?
Yes, however cars for use in Gozo are usually delivered and collected at the Malta International Airport, so this must should coincide with your arrival and departure to and from Malta.
(Q15) What is the minimum property rental period ?
Each property may have a different minimum rental period which vary from 2 nights to 7 nights depending on the particular season. As a general rule the minimum stay is higher in peak summer months than it is in low and shoulder months. You will be displayed all properties that accept the period you have searched for, if these are avaialble for short lets/holiday rentals in Malta or Gozo. Alternatively if you require a rental period which is less than the minimum rental period of a particular property, contact our customer support and we will try and accommodate you the best we can by negotiating with the owners on your behalf.
(Q16) How do I get the keys to the property I booked ?
After you have booked a property in Malta or Gozo through us, our staff will ask you for your flight arrival details so that we can co-ordinate your check in to the property. We will provide you with the contact details of the owner/caretaker in order to make your check in process as smooth and hassle free as possible. Upon arrival at the property, you will be greeted by the owner/caretaker, where you will be handed a set of keys.
(Q17) I booked a property but I want to change the dates of my booking, what shall I do ?
Please contact us quoting the name and surname of the lead guest, the property you have booked, the original dates of your booking and any further information. Please note that modifications charges may apply.
(Q18) I booked a property but I want to change the number of persons booked, what shall I do ?
Please contact us quoting the name and surname of the lead guest, the property you have booked, the original dates of your booking, the increase/decrease in number of persons booked and any further information. Please note that modifications charges may apply.
(Q19) I booked a property but I want to cancel, what shall I do ?
Please contact us quoting the name and surname of the lead guest, the property you have booked, the original dates of your booking and any further information.Please note that cancellation charges may apply.
(Q20) I want to book a property which is equipped for the physically challenged, what shall I do ?
Although most adverts will have this information displayed, we suggest that you use the contact us form found at the bottom of each property page and let us know what particular features/ameneties you may require prior to booking on-line.
(Q21) I wish to book a property for tomorrow morning, can I do this ?
If the property is available on-line you may proceed to book the property. Your booking will be deemed confirmed as soon as you receive our booking voucher.
(Q22) I need to talk to somebody at Customer Support ?
We would love to speak to each and every client who visits our website, however it is virtually impossible to do so due to the ever increasing number of clients who book through us year on year, so we try to keep our phone lines open for clients who have already boooked through us and have urgent requests during their holiday. If your query is not urgent, please reach out to us by filling in our contact form or by selecting contact customer support at the bottom of your screen to chat with a customer support agent. If a customer support agent is not online, we will respond to your questions via email, in most cases you can expect a reply within an hour, web traffic permitting. Our auto responder will advise you of the anticpated wait to get an answer. If you still feel you need to speak to a customer support agent you may also request a call back and our staff will call you back at a mutually convenient time.
(Q23) What is the Environmental Contribution ?
The Government of Malta has imposed an environmental contribution (exempt of VAT) of EUR 0.50 per person/per night, capped at a maximum of EUR 5.00 for each continuous stay in Malta, Gozo or Comino. This contribution is payable by both local and foreign guests from the age of 18 and over and applies to all types of accommodation on the Maltese Islands. The contribution must be paid separately on arrival to your booked property/hotel and is not included in the property/room rate charged. The Managers/owners of the property/hotel where you are staying are obliged to keep a record of the number of guests, their ages, length of stay, provide you with a receipt and to collect the contribution and pass it on to Government. For this reason, you may be asked to provide personal information such as your date of birth and to support this with a document, such as a passport or driver’s licence.
(Q24) Do you recommend any special activites in Malta ?

(Q25) What browsers does your website support ?
Our website is supported by all modern browsers used on desktop pc's, tablet pc's as well as smart phones including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera. We suggest that users of our website keep their browsers and operating systems updated with all the latest software provided by their suppliers, in order to view and browse our website efficiently. Specifically with regards to iPad's our website will work efficiently with OS versions 6.1 upwards.
