Description: Holiday Home Malta - A lovely house of character to rent in Malta located in a small village called "Gharghur" ..pronounced GARGUR which is just next to Madliena, a highly sought after residential area where one finds some of the most luxurious villas on the island. The house is being offered for self catering holiday accommodation in Malta booking on request in advance. We highly recommend you book in advance whereby a deposit of 30% is usually required. lat minute bookings require payment in full in advance. The house consists of 3 bedrooms offers accommodation for 2 to 6 persons. The house has a typical maltese house frontage and on entrance you are very quickly charmed by the old fashioned style the house has to offer in terms of the old stone work masonry that was used to build houses in the past. Its a little jewel of a house and very enjoyable for those who can appreciate this kind of real estate property. The Property is privately owned and is being offered to accommodate guests for short holiday stays in Malta.
The house is not to be considered of high luxury, but it certainly has a very charming approach in all senses. There is a blend of old and new furnishings to make this accommodation comfortable and enjoyable. The property has a central open air courtyard which is flanked by some rooms on the Ground floor including the living room, the kitchen and a bedroom, whilst of the 1st floor you have an open air terrace with parasol and external dining table, and two other bedrooms each with their own access from different positions from the terrace upstairs. Access to one of the bedrooms is only via the external terrace.- Its an odd but enjoyable and interesting layout. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom ensuite, with shower wash basin and WC. Another simple bathroom with shower is available on the ground floor.
The Area: The area is an old typical Maltese Village with its own little pretty Church Square, a village grocer, Bank, bar, Pharmacy, Dentist and police station...all within 2 to 3 minutes walk from the house. From this little Village you can enjoy some extraordinary relaxing country walks towards Madliena. A very tranquil setting. From here you can also easily go to St Julian's for an extensive range/choice of good quality Restaurants, and lots of other attractions. Not far from the village of Gharghur is also the Marine Park see . www.marineparkmalta.com , where you can actually swim with a Dolphin, a new and exiting experience that is extremely popular at the moment. Beaches are also not too far off....Malta is easy to get around, and one can find a spot to swim along the coast of Salina towards St Pauls Bay. Gharghur is just off the Salina Coast road behind Madliena which is on a hilltop. More beaches can be found in the north of Malta, like Golden sands, Ghajn Tuffieha, and Mellieha itself. getting to the north of Malta from Gharghur takes about 15 to 20 minutes by car. Malta has a lot to offer, and at this house, you really experience the old and new lifestyle of Maltese life.
