Geographical Location:   Eastern Malta

Neighboring Towns and Villages: Paceviille, Pembroke, St Julians, Madliena, High Ridge, Sliema, Gzira, San Gwann.

Shopping in Swieqi: Basic daily ameneties, closest shopping districts would be in the neighbouring towns of Paceville and St Julians.

Entertainment & Places To Visit: Swieqi is predominantly a residential area, however it is only a few minutes away on foot to the nightlife district of Paceville where entertainment is abundant.

Beaches:  The closest beach would be the St Georges Bay sandy beach which is only aa 10-15 minute walk away from central Swieqi.

Health: Several Pharmacies are available in Swieqi. Nearest hospital is Saint James Private Hospital in Sliema.

Town Information: Swieqi is a suburb of St Julians and it is a fairly new town, with most of the residential development taking place in the early 1980's. Until the late 90's the town was full of terraced houses and semi detached villas, however in the property boom of the early 2000's most where dropped to be re-constructed as apartments and maisonettes. Swieqi remians a highly sought after residential area and is a very popular accomodation choice for many students who travel to Malta to learn English due to its proximity to the popular towns of Paceville and St Julians. The Bay Street shopping mall and St Georges Bay beach are no more than a 10-15 minute walk from the central part of Swieqi.
